If you've never heard of a dental probiotic, the name probably sounds like marketing. Probiotics are a gut thing. What would one be doing in your mouth? It's a reasonable question, and the answer starts somewhere slightly unexpected. Your mouth is crowded Researchers keep landing on roughly 700 species of bacteria living in the human mouth. If you tried a dental probiotic and felt nothing, the most likely explanation is not that you're immune to them or that the whole category is nonsense. It's that the specific product you bought probably couldn't have worked. Not for your mouth, anyway. That sounds like an excuse. It isn't.
